More stuff I don't get

This could be an endless series.

I am led to believe there is this medium through which one can gain instant access to information and events taking place across the world. This device allows one to experience events as if one were actually at the place of occurrence.

If this is true, and I am not convinced something like this is possible, what compels bettors to play at domestic tracks with their drugs and dysfunctional takeout systems? I don't know what issues foreign tracks have or what their takeout structure is like but on the off chance that they have a clue and don't rob their clientele, why don't more people play international tracks?

If money is what makes this game function and bettors are the purveyors of that liquidity, wouldn't the shift of their dollars to other venues force states and tracks to reevaluate their takeout/product structure?

In an age where toddlers are allowed to play the financial markets and procure entertainment for themselves, why are bettors so stuck in the domestic mindset?
