A day at the beach

I saw this on El Blog Del 30-G.

For those of you that don't read Spanish(maybe the translator function thing works for Wordpress...I don't know), it covers the recent meet they had at Laytown Beach, Ireland.

This meet has been going on since 1868, under the established Rules of Racing; held during low tide and apparently for just one day. A straight course is set up and only experienced jockeys are allowed to compete.

That trip I have planned to Ireland is definitely a go.

Update. In other news:

Arlington bids on the BC for 2011.

Takeover Target is coming back. Here's hoping he's sound and happy.

Does anyone know a good site for German racing (in English)?

Deadline for the Self Appointed Fan Committee contest is tomorrow. Go get heard.
