O.K.
We stumbled out of the gate, our saddle slipped and we lost the whip. The surface is not to our liking and the pace is slow.
I would post how this is exactly where we want to be but the tears are making it very difficult to see the keyboard.

They just needed to get out of Chicago (way too much pressure). Nothing to lose now...you know what Yogi said..."it's never over.."
They have broken your heart for many years now. Need tougher skin.
Having Harden on the mound will help.
One game, One inning, one pitch at a time...you can't win three games at once so just keep plugging away.
I made the pilgrimage to Wrigley for the first time last year and loved every second of it. Beautiful ballpark...so much character compared to the concrete dumpster that is Rogers Centre.
It is very difficult, emotionally and for the sake of personal sanity, to be a Chicago Cubs fan. The best thing I can say about our team is that after 100 years we have perfected the art of losing.
Thanks everyone.
If I were a better father I would shield my baby girl from this affliction but what better way to teach her that life is a series of crushing blows to the gut.
My father brought me to my first Rangers' game when I was four...and now I'm a season ticket holder. Why did that teenage rebellion thing not kick in when it was time to choose a professional sports team affiliation? Why didn't I become a Devils fan?
I have sincere respect for you, my husband, and all the cub fans. A long season, high hopes, and then this - it's so draining. Waiting for and watching races is hard enough.
