Here, at the Imperial Palace, things are in a state of flux.
Our imposed anonymity has been shattered and we are having to once again employ our covert ordinance tactics and various stealth technologies to avoid the throng of reporters and media types at our gates.
Events, closely tied to the commercial backed paper market and the collapse of credit default swaps, created an unsustainable negative cash flow in our patron's net income statement, precipitating an early exit from the ranks of FICA contributors.
We are going on vacation for the next pythefnos, give or take 140 millifortnights, so the posting might will be spotty at best.
A few items.
Greenbutgame takes an admirable stand on the debacle that is the Breeders' Cup idea of marketing and I join her in her pledge. I welcome anyone that feels the same, or not, to express their opinion here.
The NTRA released its safety and integrity pledge and it is the first time I can see some merit in their existence. We will see what comes of all this; Sound and fury and all that...
Has anyone noticed, on the TBA site at the Bloodhorse, the BC banner promoting their bracket battle thing?
It lists the Distaff as one of their divisions.
