I'm paraphrasing but that, in essence, is what Mr. John Brunetti is telling Halsey Minor.
In this article from Bloodhorse, Mr. Brunetti seems appalled at the scope and detailed nature of Mr. Minor's proposal for Hialeah.
Granted, I have no idea what the proposal contains and many of the quotes in the article could be taken out of context but it seems to me, Brunetti's, is just a specious argument.
I am not a smart man, don't have a business degree and spent most all of my college years chasing women and liquor. I particularly enjoyed increasing the difficulty level by combining the two events but found my strike rate was inversely proportional to the degree of synergy. I have, against all odds, managed to salvage some synapses from the alcoholic flood and seem to recall...yes, yes, it's coming back to me now...what Mr. Minor has is called a business plan. All the cool kids are doing it.
Brunetti added: “Obviously, he is very interested. I have told him that in some ways I don’t think he understands this business. But I want to cooperate, and find out how his people came to some of the assumptions.”
Instead of professing disdain for "...what it is supposed to purport," [Argh, abusing language, must resist...] perhaps you can bring yourself to a mirror and ask, 'What the hell is my vision doing for this track?'
Because unless you hail from Bizarro World, there is no friggin' way that Hialeah is better off in your hands.
