So what did we learn?

We missed the pick four. A 20-1 shot in the second leg, splashed through in the bog that was the Pimlico turf course and upset the field. Our pick ran a game second but still finished well beaten. The rest of the tickets went as expected...http://www.drf.com/drfPDFChartRacesIndexAction.do?TRK=PIM&CTY=USA&DATE=20080517&RN=99

Big Brown crushed them in the Preakness by 5 for absolute fun. Never in doubt and geared down at the EIGHTH pole. Kentucky Bear had a nightmare trip. Stumbled at the start and spotted them 3 lengths, then got absolutely shut out TWICE turning for home. I don't think he could beat Big Brown but he would have been a factor.

On to the Belmont. BB hasn't faced anyone yet and Kent Desormeaux might just have ridden the horse that will beat him in 3 weeks. Casino Drive laughed at the Peter Pan field and is bred for the 12 furlongs. Neither of them has beaten anybody, apparently, so it will be a good test for both of them. More later...
